Earning CPD credits allows Medical Laboratory Scientists to reach beyond their formal education to the maintenance and continuation of important and necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to deliver high quality services.\n<div>As a requisite for licensure, the effective date for the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/web.mlscn.gov.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/filr\/997\/REVISED POLICY FOR CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD) PROGRAM.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CPD Policy<\/a> commencement is 2013, which means that MLS will need to provide the appropriate documentation to support that they have obtained 10 CPD credits during the 2013 calendar year for licensure renewal by March 2014.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"title\" style=\"color: #275e36; font-weight: bold; padding-bottom: 20px;\">Approved CPD Activities include:<\/div>\n<ul>\n \t<li>\n<div class=\"rounded-corners\" style=\"background-color: #fff; color: #000; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; padding: 10px 20px; margin: 2px;\">Attendance at MLSCN-hosted or accredited seminars, workshops, conferences<\/div><\/li>\n \t<li>\n<div class=\"rounded-corners\" style=\"background-color: #fff; color: #000; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; padding: 10px 20px; margin: 2px;\">Attendance at AMLSN\u2019s annual meeting, conference, seminars, etc.<\/div><\/li>\n \t<li>\n<div class=\"rounded-corners\" style=\"background-color: #fff; color: #000; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; padding: 10px 20px; margin: 2px;\">Attendance at accredited training workshops in laboratory techniques or equipment (These trainings can be organized by individual Medical Laboratory Scientists or by an institution)<\/div><\/li>\n \t<li>\n<div class=\"rounded-corners\" style=\"background-color: #fff; color: #000; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; padding: 10px 20px; margin: 2px;\"><a title=\"AMLSN eLearning courses\" href=\"http:\/\/moodle.amlsn.org.ng\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Completion of an AMLSN online eLearning courses accredited by MLSCN<\/a><\/div><\/li>\n \t<li>\n<div class=\"rounded-corners\" style=\"background-color: #fff; color: #000; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; padding: 10px 20px; margin: 2px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mlscn.gov.ng\/additional-online-elearning-courses-on-medical-laboratory-sciences-approved-by-mlscn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Completion of other online eLearning courses on medical laboratory sciences approved by MLSCN<\/a><\/div><\/li>\n \t<li>\n<div class=\"rounded-corners\" style=\"background-color: #fff; color: #000; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; padding: 10px 20px; margin: 2px;\">Completion of Advanced Certifications and Degrees<\/div><\/li>\n \t<li>\n<div class=\"rounded-corners\" style=\"background-color: #fff; color: #000; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; padding: 10px 20px; margin: 2px;\">Participation in journal clubs and discussion groups<\/div><\/li>\n \t<li>\n<div class=\"rounded-corners\" style=\"background-color: #fff; color: #000; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; padding: 10px 20px; margin: 2px;\">Organizing a CPD activity<\/div><\/li>\n \t<li>\n<div class=\"rounded-corners\" style=\"background-color: #fff; color: #000; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; padding: 10px 20px; margin: 2px;\">Serving as an invited lecturer\/part-time teacher after lecturer<\/div><\/li>\n \t<li>\n<div class=\"rounded-corners\" style=\"background-color: #fff; color: #000; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; padding: 10px 20px; margin: 2px;\">Serving as an Internal and External examiner; Assessor, Coordinator or Facilitator of Council examinations<\/div><\/li>\n \t<li>\n<div class=\"rounded-corners\" style=\"background-color: #fff;
